BFOI Entry - Catadra Prescari

Name: Catadra Prescari

Age: 23

Home Region/ City: Johto / Goldenrod City

History: A product of a broken home (her father was physically and mentally abusive, and her mother drank to cope), Catadra fled her small hometown early, growing up partially on the streets of Goldenrod City. She obtained her first Pokemon, a Totodile, a few years later than most kids start thier Pokemon journey, and as a result, became intensely competitive among her fellow trainers.

A bright, albeit jaded youth, she was quickly and easily swept into Team Rocket, quickly rising trough the ranks of grunts doing all manner of ill-begotten jobs in Goldenrod's underground tunnel. Although she excelled at all of her assigned jobs, it wasn't long before she was bored with the jobs and frustrated with her 'teammates' attitudes towards Pokemon and thier complete ineptitude. She quietly left the team shortly before her one-year mark. As she did not manage to (or even really attempt to) reach any rank above grunt, she doesn't figure they will invest the time in trying to find her, and so far, she's been right. She is currently unaware that there are members of Team Rocket on the Ohana Islands.

After her stint in Team Rocket, she set her sights on the Pokemon League, and her competitive nature ensured that she pushed her way through it with vigor.

Personality: After years of training (she started at 13), she still retains her competitive nature. She hides this attitude under a layer of complacency and sarcasm, usually appearing to just be a smart-ass who is happy to go about her daily life. She is rude, brazen, and crass, and often takes things and people for granted. She often doesn't know what she has until it's throwing it's luggage at her and telling her it's leaving. When meeting her or socializing with/battling her, expect tons of offhand insults and sarcasm. She is a persistent and merciless flirter, and hits on just about anyone. If she thinks you're hot, prepare for hordes of ridiculous pick-up lines ("Hey baby, I hope you know CPR, cause you take my breath away"). She takes very few of the relationships she develops seriously, subsituting a physical closeness for real, emotional closeness. Very few people ever manage to crack the facade she's built for herself, but those who do find an unstable, unconfident woman who has no idea how to deal with what she's become. She generally detests people who are overly serious or lack a sense of humor, as they tend to bring back bad memories for her.

She's alot better at dealing with people than she used to be... They mostly still think she's crazy or intolerable though.

She is actually a pretty decent trainer, albeit an easily bored one. She tends to finish up in a region just to start all over with new Pokemon in the next one. She has just finished re-challenging her home region, Johto, (this is where most of her current team is from) and was on her way towards Unova when she heard about the Ohana Islands tournament.

EDITEDITEDIT: Cat made it to the 4th round, before dropping out. The whole tournament so far has been a humbling and awesome experience for her, and she's made a whole new group of friends/people to harass called TEAM SPECTACULAR.

Being a sarcastic asshole is her way of saying she loves you. Or she hates you. Take your pick.

Fun Facts!
-She will hit on almost anything that is human (and OF AGE).
-She has the hots for Steven and Cynthia (the elite four champions of Hoenn and Sinnoh).
-She used to have hair down to her butt, but hated how hard it was to take care of in the field, and chopped it all off.
-She sleeps in da NOOOOD when alone.
-She seems to have not gotten the memo when it comes to Contests, and instead of dressing pretty, she will often don the most frightening clothes she can find and intimidate her competition into messing up. Shadow, her primary contest Poke, is A-okay with this.

Pokemon Team

Amarie - Lv. 85
Species: Ampharos
Gender: Female
Nature: Rash
Catadra caught Ama as a sleepy little Mareep when the little thing attempted to electrocute her as Catadra interrupted her nap. Ama is a laid-back and easy-going girl, most of the time. She, however tends to have a short fuse, and battles fiercely and wholeheartedly. She loves nothing more than a good nap. She tries to be a peace-keeper for the team, but has a hard time with it.

Synder - Lv. 80
Species: Typhlosion
Gender: Male
Nature: Adamant
Synder is, in short, a jerk. He is ridiculously competitive, especially with Amarie, whom he views as having stolen his spot as high member on team. He is fiercely protective of Catadra, and chances of him ever listening to another trainer are close to nil. His battle style is explosive, he will throw attack after attack in an attempt to wear the foe out before closing in.

Tesla - Lv. 75
Species: Luxray
Gender: Female
Nature: Quirky
Tesla has a few issues with gender dominance. She firmly believes females should be in charge, and as such, has some troubles getting along with male members of her team. She had to be separated from Catadra's male Luxray, Hoshi, because the male attempted courtship and Tesla made a valiant effort at mauling him despite the fact that he quite outlevels her. She views Catadra as a leader figure, and will follow any order she gives without question. She is a meticulous battler, taking careful stock of her enemy and attempting to pick on their weak spots.

ObsidiaNyt - Lv. 75
Species: Absol
Gender: Female
Nature: Mild
ObsidiaNyt is a sweet, mild tempered thing. She is easily pushed around by other team members, as she is really just happy to have the company. She was separated from her sister DiamondGem and her mate, Zircon (also Absols) to attend the competition with Catadra, and as a result is a tad lonely. She doesn't really enjoy battling, but does it because she knows it makes Catadra happy.

Scratch - Lv. 70
Species: Fearow
Gender: Male
Nature: Relaxed
Catadra caught Scratch as a tiny Spearow stranded from its nest. With lots of care and attention, he grew into a HUGE Fearow. He is incredibly sweet, albeit not too clever. He is entirely devoted to Catadra, as she represents a mother figure to him.

Shadow - Lv. 55
Species: Mightyena
Gender: Male
Ability: Intimidate
Nature: Sassy
Stuck-up and haughty, Shadow is a contest Pokemon through and through. His incessant grooming tends to give him a feminine look. He is usually a hit with the ladies, and he revels in this glory. He detests battling, as he doesn't want to get dirty or break a claw. When forced to, he is very defensive and only strikes when he spots an opening.

Holy shiz... I actually FINISHED an app. The world is going to end. Now, to wait and see if I make it in.
